SUGAR SOFTENING

As brown sugar comes into contact with air,

it may harden due to moisture loss.

In this case, you can use the following methods

to remoisten your sugar.

 QUICK SOLUTION


-OVEN -

Preheat your oven to 120 degrees.

Place a sheet of aluminum foil on the baking sheet.

Spread your hardened sugar on the foil.

Cover the sugar completely with the tinfoil.

Put the baking sheet in the oven for 10 minutes, then remove.

If not sufficient, you can keep it in the oven for another 5 minutes.

-MICROWAVE-

Put your hardened sugar in a bowl.

Cover with a moistened paper towel.

Heat your bowl in the microwave for 15 seconds. 

If not sufficient, you can keep it in for another 5 seconds.

A FEW NIGHTS IN ADVANCE

​

Put your hardened sugar in a bowl.

Put 1-2 slices of apple or bread on top of the sugar.

Cover your bowl with cling/saran wrap and keep overnight.

Your sugar should become soft again by morning.
